Today I was inspired not by high rise buildings, or high fashion magazines but by a scenic drive through Kentucky. A spontaneous stop off the side of a one lane gravel road lead me to my perfect backdrop for a mini photo shoot with nature at the center.
Sam, my photo buddy and I only really had two things – our iPhone (thank goodness for filters; they do wonders for amateur photographers) and our imagination. OK and killer fall fashion — hello wide brim bohemian hat, sleek top knot and a love for layers ootd.
We needed: wild flowers, twigs, leaves and the perfect ray of sunlight
When snapping pictures outside I say stick with the scene. Brown, black, and green should do the trick. Use a powerful colored lip stain, or purple and yellow flowers to add your shades of cool. You want to work with your environment in any scenario – fall shoots call for a “heels off, boots on” mind set.
Follow the basics and you’re set for your very own euphoric experience and some really beautiful images that look like they’re out of an Anthropologie add.
